Each area you encounter is a land in ruins, occupied by the Skelmars, steeped in chaos and scarred by war. The Skelmars have seized and fortified every stronghold and landmark, while other locations lie in ruins, unusable until you drive out the invaders. Liberate each barony by targeting and defeating the stronghold at its heart, bringing life back to the land. Local allies will emerge from hiding to recognize your efforts, and destroyed locations can be rebuilt by investing materials, restoring them to full functionality and strengthening the war effort. But as long as the stronghold remains under Skelmar control, the barony will remain occupied. Rally the War Effort Rally the War Effort in Ormance to push back the Skelmar invaders. In liberated areas, local factions can be recruited to the cause. As you gather your forces outside the fortress and face the enemy defenders stationed in front of the wall, your allies may already be engaged in battle.
